While in your fieldwork placement, you will develop your professional identification as a social worker and begin your journey toward becoming a social work practitioner. Our mission is to nurture social work students as each learns to become a practitioner, dedicated to serving at-risk individuals, groups, families and communities.
The Field Instruction Division welcomes you, the students and Field Instructors. This is the beginning of a journey you will take with the faculty of Jane Addams College of Social Work. By the end of this journey you will have acquired a knowledge base and skills necessary to enter social service networks with the capacity to improve the living conditions and the lives of the individuals and families within the communities we serve.
